Dr. Steven Pankey of Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green, KY, helped organize an emergency prayer vigil, drawing 100 community members in just over a day to call attention to ICE’s actions and advocate for justice. The vigil, coordinated with local pastors and civic leaders, emphasized Ernesto’s humanity, engaged the wider public through prayer, media outreach, and candle lighting, and sparked deeper reflection and activism within participating congregations.
