The Rev Jim Perra of Grace Traverse City has been selected to be a 2025 Leader’s Way Fellow at Yale. The Leader’s Way is a year-long certificate program from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale that explores leadership, innovation, and resilience in ministry. Berkeley Divinity School at Yale selects leaders who are poised to be catalysts for change, inspiring their communities to bear witness to the Gospel more effectively.
When speaking about this opportunity The Rev. Perra said, “The Leaders Way is an opportunity to practice adaptive leadership with mentorship and intention. Living with thoughtfulness and discernment into the many changes that we all face, those chosen, and especially those we do not choose. As we build our new diocese in midst of a tumultuous and spiritually hungry time I hope that I will bring home some wisdom to share.”
The Leader’s Way program is just one dimension of a larger Transforming Leaders initiative at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, which exists to catalyze innovative leadership in the church. The initiative also includes online courses and workshops and The Leader’s Way podcast, resources available to the whole church.
We are excited to see how this experience will grow and stretch the Rev. Perra, and the way our whole diocese will benefit from his effort and learning.
