Migration with Dignity Sunday

In 2026, Migration with Dignity Sunday is on February 8.

A resolution passed at the 81st General Convention directed The Episcopal Church to “establish an annual Migration With Dignity Sunday…during the Season of Epiphany.” In 2025, more than ten dioceses have passed resolutions affirming their commitment to Migration With Dignity and encouraging their congregations to observe Migration With Dignity Sunday.

Migration With Dignity Sunday is an opportunity to learn and teach about the Migration With Dignity Principles and to include prayers for Migration With Dignity in worship.

The Episcopal Migration Caucus encourages every congregation and diocese to celebrate Migration With Dignity Sunday on a Sunday in Epiphany season. The official date of Migration With Dignity Sunday for 2026 is Sunday, February 8.

Our own Standing Committee, acting as Ecclesiastical Authority, has approved moving forward with this designation in our diocese.

The Episcopal Migration Caucus has developed a thorough and helpful collection of resources for participating in Migration with Dignity Sunday. Their resources, available at the link below, include Prayers of the People and other liturgical resources, action guides, educational resources, scripture studies, and more.
